Isn’t interesting how we can drift into sin but cannot drift into intimacy with God? The reason being is because we have a natural bent to move away from God instead of to God.
For instance, if we do not intentionally plan to pray, we won’t pray. If we do not intentionally plan to study His Word, we will not study. If we do not intentionally share the Gospel, it will not be shared. If we do not intentionally crucify our flesh, we will wallow in sin. At the core of our Christian experience is intentionality and ownership. Leonard Ravenhill once said, “You are as spiritual as you want to be.”
Take ownership of your walk with the Lord and be aggressively intentional with making His presence your priority.
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psa. 16:11)
