When a nation prepares for war, top government officials and military officers assess the threat of the enemy. Afterwards, they devise a plan, coupled with a strategy to defeat the enemy. These meetings are usually held in “secret” and without the public’s knowledge.

Kingdom of God, can we not learn from this? Are we not at war? Should we not be strategic in prayer? Does not our Lord say, “When you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you” (Matt.6:6).

As you look over the landscape of your life and the wickedness that is transpiring in the world, what is your strategy? What are you targeting? Are you targeting the sinful impulses in your life to be supernaturally crucified daily? Are you targeting that members of your family who are lost to be saved? Are you strategizing and targeting the powers of darkness to release those in your city who are enslaved to sexual immorality, addiction, and etc? Are you targeting the powers of darkness that are using occult power (witchcraft, sorcery, divination) against your church and in your city in general? Do you get my drift?

We have to take prayer as serious as our military commanders take serious planning, strategizing, and executing war plans for human conflicts.

There is a special anointing that God gives while praying. DO NOT take it lightly or neglect it (James 4:2; Matt.7:7; John 14:12-14).

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:12-14).
